Join Dicki Chhoyang, Foreign Minister (Kalon) of the Tibetan Government-in-exile, for a revealing and interactive discussion about persistence in global dialogue and negotiation and the quest for a resolution to the ongoing occupation of Tibet.  For over four decades, first as an activist and then as Foreign Minister, Dicki Chhoyang has worked tirelessly to amplify the voices of Tibet on the global stage.  Kalon Dicki Chhoyang will also speak about her position as a role model for young Tibetan women who wish to participate in public and political affairs, spheres which until relatively recently were the domain of laymen and monks.

Preceding the Q&A session will be a screening of ‘A Song for Tibet’, a documentary by Canadian film maker Anne Henderson.  ‘A Song for Tibet’ poignantly traces the formative journey of a young Dicki Chhoyang as she travels from the Tibetan Diaspora in Canada to Dharamsala, India, the hub of the Tibetan community-in-exile and home of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
Kyinzom Dhongdue, the Communications and Government Relations Manager at Australia Tibet Council will take the role of moderator.
